What a wonderful time. . .
Our 2nd Annual Hearts for Children Luncheon and Silent Auction held on May 29, 2008 was for everyone.
We want to thank all who attended and all who supported our luncheon and silent auction. We want to also thank everyone who donated items for our silent auction and our sponsors.
Our guest speaker, Tricialousie Gurley, a member of Youth Motivating Others through Voices of Experience (Youth M.O.V.E.) an organization for youth, spoke about being a young child of neglect and the way people took an interest in her and let her know she was important and what she wanted in life really mattered. It gave her the confidence and a reason to go on living and make a difference in the life of others. We want to thank her for being at our luncheon. We also want to thank her for letting us know that what we do really does make a difference in the life of the children we touch.
